Author's POV.
It had been six days since he had left. Everything was going well in house. Abhisar used to stay with her. If she needed anything abhisar used to fullfil it.
Not without any question he would follow whatever she would say. They had started bonding very beautifully like a mother and son. Priya knew he respected her a lot, it was clear from his actions and words.
She would make dishes for Abhisar, whichever he would say and even Abhisar, had started bonding with Priya in a very pure way. Priya knew he deserved to be taken care of. His actions sometimes used to indicate that how he had been deprived of love and care from any elder.
Abhigyan. She used to miss him at nights as she had to spend the nights all alone in her room. He had give her a habit to stay late at night awake, which was creating a problem to her as she wasn't able to sleep early, even though she wanted to.
On the other hand, Abhigyan was busy with his mother. Doctors suggested him to stop the medicines of his mother. They said that medicines would degrade her body more and more. Because of chemotherapy that happened just once, she had started to lose her hairs way back before.
Doctors had said to let her stay in the town for another week. Abhigyan had no option other then to stay with his mother in the town itself.
He used to miss Priya a lot. Although he had spent very less time with her, but he was habituated with her now. He wanted to see her, he wanted to hug her, he wanted to take her in his arms, but he had no option.
He was equally guilty that he had showered his anger upon his wife before leaving. When he should have taken care of her, after their consummation, he scolded her. He was so guilty for it. He wanted to talk to Priya about this.
In his mind, he was swearing again and again that he'll never vent up his anger upon Priya ever again. He was also worried, because that one thing, that sex, his seeds inside her, was running in his mind, and he had an unknowingly strong feeling that something can happen.
He was just praying to God silently in his mind, again and again to keep Priya safe and well.
Abhisar, who wasn't speaking much, was facing trouble. A rival of Singh's were trying to get in his way. And he knew that these rivals, the Choudhary's, had a very strong rivalry with the Singh's, since a long time. Only thing was that, he didn't knew the reason behind the strong rivalry.
Neither did Abhigyan knew, otherwise he would have surely told him.
He didn't wanted to disturb his brother, neither his bhabhi. So, he was handling it on his own. As far as he can handle it, till his elder brother returns.
Abhigyan had sent him letter, stating he'll stay there for another week. He understood that his brother was facing problems too, he knew that his brother loves his mother a lot. He respected his brother's feeling.
***
It was morning.
Priya was still inside the room when Abhisar knocked on her door to confirm whether she was fine or not. He had noticed her, getting weak in the past two days. A slight change in her behaviour.
But as he knocked on the door, the door opened by itself. There stood Priya on the entrance, with a gentle smile on her face, dressed in a navy blue plain saree, pallu draped upon her head.
He touched her feet and she blessed him.
Out of concern, he asked,
"Aap theek hai na, bhabhi?".
"Ji."
They moved towards the Aangan. Priya entered inside the kitchen to prepare breakfast while Abhisar sat there reading some files of his business.
He used to manage it from home and some times go outside to take care of it as it was mainly town based business. He has his people all around.
He was reading, when he heard utensil's sound of falling down, along with a loud bump sound. He ran towards the kitchen, only to find out Priya lying on the floor. His muscles tensed along with his jaw as he felt his heartbeat pacing.
He immediately picked her up in his arms and ran to her room. He placed her on the bed and splashed drops of water on her face.
Priya regained consciousness after a few minutes. He was rubbing her palm.
In a lazy voice, Priya spoke,
"Hum theek hai ab, rehne dijiye."
He shook his head,
"Hume pata hai aap theek nahi hai bhabhi, pichle do din se hum dekh rahe aapko."
She smiled gently, seeing her devar, caring for her.
She took her hand back and muttered, trying to sit up,
"Hum theek hai, yakeen maaniye."
He clicked his tongue and stood up from his place,
"Hume nahi manna aapki baat. Aaj hi hum vaidya ji ko bula kar laenge. Aap aaram kijiye."
She shook her head immediately. Knowing that what it could be. Because, it was from past few days that she had been feeling anxious. Different. Nauseous.
"Kyu bhabhi.. koi baat hai?".
She remembered her husband's words.
'usko batana, Bina sharmae'
How can she tell him? That too without getting shy.
She inhaled deeply and collected all her strength. She was fidgeting her fingers and stuttered,
"Wo.. wo.. Hume.. lagta..hai..wo..ki.. hum"
Abhisar was confused, watching her seriously.
Priya closed her eyes tightly and spoke all at once,
"Hume lagta hai hum maa banne wale hai."
His eyes widened with shock and excitement. His lips curved into an ear to ear smile. And he spoke in excitement,
"Aap aaram se letiye, hum turant aae, kisi ko lekar."
And he left.
She was feeling embarassed. Shy. All at once. But majorly, she was missing him. Her husband. She wanted to tell him first. But she knew that he had already an idea of this.
Usually in these cases, mother's feels first, senses these things first, but he had already sensed it the very next day of their consummation, out of thin air, but yes, unknowingly, he had guessed it, which was even impossible to guess the very next day of their consummation.
Do women conceive just after their first time? She didn't knew it was that fast.
Not to forget they had it four times in a row.
Minutes passed and she heard footsteps approaching her. Abhisar entered along with an old-aged woman.
"Bhabhi, let her check you," Abhisar spoke and she nodded.
The woman came and sat beside her. Abhisar moved outside the room.
The woman checked on her pulse first. Then, she lowered her saree, exposing her belly up to her womb, and checked her there.
Her lips curved and she stood up.
Priya covered her body and sat up on the bed against the wall.
"Chote sahab," she called Abhisar and he entered inside.
She nodded her head in positive and spoke,
"Badi Bahu maa banne wali hai, Mubarak ho."
Priya grinned, feeling something more than happiness. Abhisar took out the gold chain from his neck and gave it to that woman.
The woman too became happy. Very happy.
She was going to step out when Abhisar stopped her.
She turned back.
"Gaon me kisi ko kaanon kaan khabar bhi nahi lagni chahiye, warna humse bura koi nahi hoga."
She nodded and moved out.
Abhisar immediately, sat beside Priya and held her hand,
"Bahut khush hai hum aaj, bhabhi. Bahut jyada. Chacha banne wale hai hum."
She placed her hand on his head,
"Hume pata hai aap isey sabse jyada pyaar denge."
He grinned, his eyes becoming emotional,
"Bahut din baad aisi Khushi mehsus Hui hai bhabhi, hum bata bhi nahi sakte aapko. Iske madhyam se hum apna bachpan dobara jiyenge, Jo humne kho diya."
Priya gulped. She knew what he was feeling. She wiped the tears that unknowingly flowed down his left eye.
He inhaled deeply and spoke,
"Aaj bhaiya rehte yahan toh kafi khush hote, chitthi likh denge unhe hum. Aap chinta na karein."
She nodded.
"You should rest, bhabhi," he said and stood up to leave the room. He left, only after shutting the door behind him.
Priya was happy, so happy.
Next nine months are going to be hard, happy and challenging for her. But she is going to enjoy every bit of it. Every bit.
Little did she knew about the trouble that was approaching her life. Their life.
