19. Nupur's past

Kaise ghanere badra gire

Teri kami ki baarish liye

Sailaab jo mere seene mein hai

Koi btaye ye kaise thame

Tere bina ab kaise jiye

Ho sajni re

Kaise kate din raat

Kaise ho tujhse baat

Teri yaad staave re

It's their new marriage, and Nupur was feeling the absence of Abhisar even more after just a week of being married.

She found herself yearning for his comforting presence and the feeling of being wrapped in his arms.

The house felt oddly quiet to her because her husband wasn't around. Every passing minute felt like an eternity, and she eagerly counted down the days until they can be reunited once again.

The village was filled with simple, rustic charm, where time seemed to slow down. Nupur, with her vibrant saree and delicate bangles, spent her days tending to their small home, eagerly awaiting Abhisar's return.

As the sun rose, casting a golden glow over the lush green fields, Nupur found herself missing the sound of Abhisar's footsteps echoing through their Aangan.

The days passed slowly, each moment a reminder of their new marriage and the love they share. Nupur filled her time by engaging in the home's daily activities, exchanging stories with Priya.

It was surprising for her, how Priya listened to her every story peacefully, taking full interest in her talks and not only her, Priya too, shared her memories of home, with Nupur.

But her heart longed for Abhisar's warmth and the way he would hold her hand.

In the evening, as the sun set and painted the sky with hues of orange and pink, Nupur found solace in her room, alone, missing their moments of togetherness.

With heavy heart, she went to sleep.

***

She had just slept, ten minutes ago, when she felt him snuggling by her side.

She turned her body only to find him sleeping beside her. Not sleeping, just resting.

She moved her hand to stroke his hair and asked,

"Kab aae aap?".

["When did you come?"]

He replied in a low voice,

"Aap so Rahi thi."

["You were sleeping."]

"Utha Diya hota na Hume, Abhisar. Kuch khaya bhi nahi hoga aapne."

["You should have woken me up, Abhisar. You probably haven't eaten anything."]

She sat up on the bed. He looked at her, as she folded her hair into a loose bun and placed her pallu over her shoulder.

She was stepping down from the bed when he held her wrist and muttered,

"Nupur. Nai jao."

She turned back and looked at him, narrowing her eyes.

He was looking at her with different emotions in his eyes. She held his hand which was holding her wrist and muttered while caressing his head,

"Khana laane Jaa rahe the aapke liye. Aaiye aap bhi humare sath."

["I was going to get food for you. Come with me."]

He nodded and stood up from the bed along with her. They moved together outside, holding each other's hands.

"Hath dhoiye, hum nikaalte hai khana."

["Wash your hands, I'll serve the food."]

He nodded while she moved towards the kitchen.

He washed his hand and sat on the mat, placed on the floor. She served him the food and sat infront of him, her legs folded and touching her chest. She was staring him with her loving eyes.

His eyes fell on her.

He spoken in a gentle and low voice,

"Idhar aake baithiye na, humare bagal me."

["Come and sit here, next to me."]

She stood up, only to sit beside him.

Without speaking a word, he pulled her on his lap. She struggled,

"Kya kar rahe hai. Koi dekh lega."

["What are you doing? Someone will see."]

He tore a bite of chapati, mixing it with vegetable gravy, and forwarded it to her,

"Dekhne do, kayde se shadi kar ke laye hai tumhe hum. Kisi gair ki biwi thodi hi ho."

["Let them see, I've married with you properly. You're not someone else's wife, right?"]

She took the bite and saw him taking another bite himself.

She encircled her hand around his neck and placed her head against his chest. He forwarded her another bite but she spoke,

"Aap khaiye na. Humare pet me jagah nahi ab."

["You eat na. There's no space left in my stomach now."]

He nodded.

She kept on hugging him, while he ate silently and looked at her time to time.

When he finished, she stood up from his lap on her own and moved towards the kitchen to wash the utensils.

After they were done, they moved towards their room.

They laid on the bed, side by side, but not holding each other. His hands were under his head, and her hands over her own stomach.

She asked quietly while staring the ceiling,

"Yaad kiya Hume?".

["Did you miss me?"]

He hummed, "Aapne?".

She hummed.

After a long pause, he spoke,

"Itni door kyu hai aaj, Nupur?".

["Why are you so distant today, Nupur?"]

She replied silently,

"Aapne paas nahi bulaya, naa khud aaye."

["You didn't call me over, nor did you come yourself."]

He muttered in a soft voice,

"Kuch baat karni hai hume aapse."

"Kahiye na."

He moved slowly towards her. She saw him. He hovered over her body, trapping her between his hands.

He placed his lips on her forehead and muttered against it,

"Aapki aankhon me kuch dekha tha humne uss subah."

"Kis subah, Abhisar?".

He raised her face up by her chin, to make her look into his eyes,

"Jis subah aap gussa kar chali gayi thi humse, jis subah aapne humse kaha tha, aapko waisa majak pasand nahi hai. Yaad hai?".

["I remember the morning you left in anger, the morning you told me you don't like that kind of joke. You remember?"]

She gulped, biting her lips and nodded.

He brushed his lips against her earlobe and whispered in her ear,

"Ateet se matlab nahi hume, fir bhi mann ho toh bata dijiyega."

["I don't care about the past, but if you still want to, Anytime, just tell me."]

Her hands moved to hold his collar and her eyes got shut. He spoke again, palming her cheek,

"Sach muchh. Hume nahi matlab. Bas itna yaad rakhiyega ki aap humari hai sirf ab."

["Really. I don't care. Just remember that you belong to me now."]

She placed a kiss on his neck by arching her face up. She palmed his neck on both sides and looked into his eyes.

He smiled gently, feathering her cheek with his knuckles.

She muttered in a low voice,

"Aapne humari aankhein kaise padh li Abhisar?".

["How did you read my eyes, Abhisar?"]

He pecked her lips once and then replied changing the topic,

"Aap bahut khubsurat hai. Hume manjoor nahi ki koi gair mard ab aapko ek aankh dekhe bhi."

["You are very beautiful. I don't approve of any stranger man even glancing at you now."]

She pulled him close and whispered in his ear,

"Aapki baaton se itna toh samajh gaye hai hum ki aapko sab pata hai. Bas itna kehna chahte hai, nahi hai ab koi humari zindagi me. Humari bewakoofi thi woh. Sirf aap hai humari zindagi aur humare Dil me. Sirf aur sirf aap."

["From your words, I understand that you know everything. I just want to say that there is no one else in my life now. It was my foolishness. Only you are in my life and in my heart. Only you."]

He kissed on her earlobe and muttered,

"Aap khud se bata deti toh bhi hum nahi naraz hote Nupur. Aapki galti nahi thi."

["Even if you had told me yourself, I wouldn't have been upset, Nupur. It wasn't your fault."]

She scoffed and spoke,

"Humare poore gaon ko toh yahi lagta hai ki humari galti thi."

["The entire village believes that it was my fault."]

He moved to her neck and brushed his lips upon it. His lips moved deeper, towards her cleavage and he demanded, "Kholiye isey."

She removed her pallu and opened the hooks of her blouse, listening to his demanding voice.

He nuzzled his face into her breasts and she stroked his hair gently.

He took her nipple in his mouth, which was not so erect but became erect when it felt the warmth of his mouth.

He sucked it roughly, biting it with his teeth and she moaned,

"Anhh dheere."

He left her bud and moved down, towards her belly, snuggling his face into it. He licked her navel and she grabbed his hair more tightly.

He shifted down, between her legs, her bare legs. He moved her saree away and parted her legs to its maximum, holding her thighs tightly.

He held one of her hand that was holding his hair and moved it towards her pussy in a demanding move.

She opened her folds. He looked at her wet pussy, holding her thighs and gulped.

His lips kissed it once and she curled her toes.

He moved up again. Hovering over her. He traced his fingers over her cheeks and asked,

"Yahan chua usne aapko?".

["Did he touch you here?"]
